Important Notes
ASE is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to improving the quality of motor vehicle service and repair throughout the nation. ASE’s primary function is to test and certify automobile, medium/heavy truck, truck equipment, school bus, and collision repair/refinish technicians as well as engine machinists, collision damage estimators, service consultants, and parts specialists. ASE also encourages and assists in the development of automotive training programs.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has developed these certification examinations expressly for use in the context of voluntary certification of technicians, and all future revisions and refinements will be made in that context. ASE expressly disclaims any responsibility for the actions of organizations or entities that decide to use ASE examinations in any context other than ASE’s voluntary certification of automotive service professionals.
The Institute reserves the right to cancel any test score, bar participation in theASE Program, or revoke certification if ASE/ACT has any reason to question the validity of a test score, suspect misconduct at the Test Center, or suspect the reporting of fraudulent information on the Registration Form. The Institute also reserves the right to verify any reported work experience through employers and others.
All tests are administered and scored through ACT, a nonprofit corporation engaged in test development and administration, and in educational and vocational research.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, ACT, and the ACT Centers are Equal Opportunity Employers.
