TechQuiz Self-Assessment Quizzes
ASE now features a family of online ASE products, called TechQuiz. There are five different quizzes that assess basic knowledge of various specialty areas:
- Gasoline Engines
- Drive Trains
- Undercar
- Electrical/Electronic Systems & HVAC
- Parts Specialist
Each self-assessment quiz can help individuals prepare for the ASE certification tests, or help identify areas needing improvement through targeted training. There is also value in exposure to ASE-style questions, which can help at some later date when taking an ASE Certification Test. A TechQuiz does not have a pass/fail point; rather, users get an online score report with details on how they did in each area. Each quiz has 40 questions (Parts Specialist has 50 questions).
Perhaps the greatest value of the TechQuiz product is the opportunity to experience questions asked in the ASE style. Although the quizzes do not yield any sort of certification, they have been developed with the same process, rigor and quality that is ASE all the way. The quizzes can be taken multiple times (per-quiz fee applies) to get an idea of progress in acquiring knowledge and can be taken in the privacy of one’s own home. The results are available instantaneously after quiz completion, and can also be easily retrieved at a later date.

Once "on campus", simply create a profile and you will be able to immediately access the TechQuiz self-assessments 24/7. Each quiz costs $12.50.
