The Official ASE Practice Test Program

Objective: To provide candidates with the opportunity to take online practice tests. This will allow test takers to judge their test readiness, experience actual ASE-style test questions, and ease testing anxiety before sitting for actual ASE certification tests.
Scope of Program: The Official ASE Practice Test Program will initially consist of nine exams.
- Automobile Series: Tests A1 through A8
- Parts Specialist Series: Auto Parts Test P2
Format: The Official ASE Practice Test Program consists of online, half-length ASE-style tests. The questions use the familiar ASE format. Each test will provide printable performance reports and explanations for correct and incorrect answers, giving candidates the opportunity to improve their skills in any area(s) of weakness prior to sitting for certification exams.
Program Development: Subject matter experts with experience in ASE test writing workshops have written the test questions under the guidance of ASE in-house experts.
Test Administration: The Practice tests are available on the ASE website and will mimic ASE exams. Unlike ASE’s traditional written-test administration, these online tests will offer test takers the opportunity to flag questions for review, navigate back and forth, and either view the explanation for each question immediately after answering it or wait until they have completed the test. A progress review page shows questions that were flagged or unanswered to allow test takers to return to those questions, or any others.
Test Schedule and Fees: ASE’s Practice Tests are available online and can be taken at the user’s convenience 24/7. You can purchase a single practice test voucher or multiple vouchers. The more you purchase at one time, the better the price. Each voucher can be used by one person only to access one practice test for 60 days.

About 400,000 automobile and truck service and repair professionals hold current ASE certifications. ASE also offers other programs of interest and value to automotive professionals.
