1. How much do ASE tests costs?
- Regular Tests: $27 each.
- Advanced Level Tests (L1 and L2): $54 each.
- Recertification Tests: $27 each.
- L1/L2 Recert. Tests: $54 each.
- Recertification tests cap out at $71, regardless of number of tests you take
- Registration is $36 for any combination of tests.

2. Can I cancel my registration?
No. Once you register to test, you cannot cancel or transfer your registration to another person. The registration fee cannot be refunded or credited.

3. Can I get a refund/credit if I register but do not take the tests?
There is no refund or credit for the registration fee.
However, you can request a credit equal to the test fees paid for the missed tests. Credits are given to the person who paid (you or your employer). Of course, if you attend the test session and open a test book, you cannot get a credit for that test.
To request a credit, mail your Admission Ticket to:

If you do not have your Ticket, mail a written request. For the May testing, all credit requests must be received by June 30th. For the November testing, all credit requests must be received by December 31st.

4. Who can use the credit - just me or someone else?
The credit is given to the person who paid (you or your employer). If you paid for the testing, then only you can use the credit. Individual credits cannot be sold or transferred to another person.
If your employer paid for the testing, then the credit can be used for testing you or any other employee. Employer credits cannot be sold or transferred to another company.

5. How long do I have to use the credit?
Your test fee credit can be used for the next round of tests—either computer-based or paper/pencil testing, but you must register again.
- Credits from missed May tests must be used by the following November.
- Credits from missed November tests must be used by the following May.
- Unused credit expires after the deadline.
