1. How does the program work?
The Official ASE Practice Test Program consists of online, ASE-style practice tests, which will allow candidates to judge their test readiness, increase their knowledge, and ease testing anxiety before taking actual ASE certification tests. The practice tests will provide a printable performance report and explanations for correct and incorrect answers, giving candidates the opportunity to improve their skills in any area(s) of weakness.

2. What tests are available?
Practice tests are currently offered for Automobile tests A1 through A8, as well as the P2 Automobile Parts test.

3. What are the practice tests like?
The practice test questions are designed to be similar in content and format to those used on the corresponding ASE certification tests in order to give users an idea of that to expect on the actual exams. The practice tests contain half as many questions as the actual ASE certification tests.

4. Who developed the program?
Subject matter experts with experience in ASE test writing workshops developed the test questions under the guidance of ASE's in-house experts.

6. How does the actual testing work?
The Practice tests will mimic ASE-style test questions, but unlike ASE’s traditional written-test administration, these online tests will offer test takers the opportunity to flag questions for review, navigate back and forth, and either view the explanation for each question immediately after answering it or wait until they have completed the test. A progress review page shows the questions that were flagged or unanswered to allow test takers to navigate back to those questions, or any others. You have 60 days from the time you select your practice test to complete your review.

7. Who can purchase the tests?
Individuals or employers may purchase vouchers for the practice tests using a credit card in the ASE Store at www.ase.com/store.

8. How much do the tests cost?
You can purchase a single Practice test voucher or multiple vouchers. The more you purchase at one time, the better the price. Each voucher can be used by one person only to access one practice test for 60 days.

10. What are the system requirements?
An internet connection is required. For best results, use Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, Firefox 3.5, Safari 4, or above as your Web browser. For optimum viewing, your screen resolution should be set to 1024 x 768 or greater.
