Automotive Service Excellence

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE for short, sets the industry standard with their certification program. This includes testing in various automotive systems. For each exam that is passed, an ASE Certification is awarded.

ASE certified technicians have verified their competence and technical abilities in the automotive service industry - and they have the credentials to prove it! Ask your service professional to show you their credentials.

Peace of Mind

The process to become ASE Certified is not an easy feat. In order to attain ASE Certification, technicians must complete a minimum of 2 years of qualified work experience and pass a challenging test for each certification.

To ensure technician's are up-to-date on current systems and technologies, ASE Certified Technicians are required to prove their technicial knowledge by retesting every 5 years to keep their certifications current.

ASE Certifies technicians, not businesses. The next time you need service on your vehicle, ask your mechanic to see their credentials.

Recertification

ASE Certified Technicians are required to "Recertify" their credentials by passing updated recertification tests every 5 years.

Since 1972

ASE has been certifying technicians in the automotive service industry since 1972. Our rigorous testing process gives you peace of mind that the technician working on your vehicle is truly a professional.
