To allow test-takers to judge their test readiness, experience actual ASE-style test questions, and ease anxiety before sitting for actual ASE certification tests.

The Official ASE Practice Tests cover the ASE Automobile Tests (A1 – A8), Medium/Heavy Truck Tests (currently T2, T4, T6, and T8 only), Automobile Service Consultant Test (C1), Automobile Maintenance and Light Repair Test (G1), Automobile Advanced Engine Performance Specialist Test (L1), and Automobile Parts Specialist Test (P2).

Online, half-length ASE-style tests with questions using familiar ASE format. Each test provides printable performance reports with explanations for both correct and incorrect answers.

How It Works:

Vouchers for the Official ASE Practice Tests can be purchased 24/7 here. When you are ready to take a practice test, go to, enter your voucher code, and select the test you wish to take. Each voucher can be used to access one practice test.

The practice tests allow you to flag questions for review, navigate back and forth, and see explanations for each question — either right after answering it or when you’ve completed the test. A progress review page shows those questions you flagged or left unanswered, allowing you to return and try again later. You can also stop at any point, return later, enter the same code, and pick up where you left off. You have 60 days after first entering the voucher code to review the practice test.

Open to anyone considering taking ASE certification tests, as well as employers who wish to help their technicians prepare.

Note that ASE Practice Test vouchers are for individual use only. Individual purchasers may not sell, resell, distribute, transfer, or assign vouchers to anyone else. They may only be used by the purchaser for personal use only. Schools or business purchasers may only distribute vouchers to a single individual student or employee for individual use only, and otherwise may not sell, resell, distribute, transfer, or assign vouchers to anyone else.
