Volkswagen

At Volkswagen of America, Inc. we believe that Technicians are the most critical piece of the service core process. Technicians not only ensure sure that customers cars are fixed right the first time, but they also deliver on the brand promise. Exciting technologies that make Volkswagen vehicles fun to drive. Technicians are the heart and soul of the business, and we believe they are critical to making the Volkswagen experience an exceptional one.

ASE and Volkswagen

Volkswagen Technician training is crucial to the Volkswagen Service Core Process and, by requiring ASE certification prior to some training courses, Volkswagen technicians are better prepared to grasp the concepts taught in our Instructor led training. ASE has a history of high standards of measuring the knowledge of technicians that matches Volkswagen’s high standards. This knowledge assists the technician to ensure its FRFT (fixed right the first time) and deliver a service experience which inspires customer obsession.

ASE Certification for Volkswagen Technicians

New for 2025, Volkswagen is recognizing ASE Certifications as equivalencies to some technical training courses offered at our training academies. Volkswagen may be considering integration of student exams as prerequisites to various training programs.

Once becoming a Volkswagen technician you’ll have an exciting career path which will allow you to choose specialties in your areas of interest, thus working your way towards becoming master certified.

  3. Select the "Release my ASE status to others" checkbox and then select the Submit button.

If you have already created a myASE account, then:

  1. Log in to your myASE account.
  2. Select Company-Assigned ID.
  3. Select the Add Company-Assigned ID button.
  4. Select Volkswagen from the Company drop-down menu and enter your Volkswagen LMS ID and then select Submit.
  5. Select the Profile tab to review your information and check on your release status. Confirm that your information is correct.
  6. Select the "Release my ASE status to others" checkbox and then select the Submit button.
  1. Log in to your myASE account.
  2. Select Store link.
  3. Select the checkbox(s) for the ASE Certification Test(s) for which you wish to register.
  4. After going through several prompts, you can schedule your appointment. If you have multiple tests to schedule, you may also select the "Select All" checkbox.
  5. Then you can Find the Test Center that is most convenient for you and select the Schedule an Appointment link to find available locations.
  6. Once you have scheduled your test appointments, you will be directed to an Appointment Confirmation page where you should see the correct date/time for your ASE Certification test(s). Select either the Print Registration Ticket button to print your registration ticket, or select Continue to complete the registration process.

The results from ASE are imported on a monthly basis, but it can take up to four weeks for the Volkswagen Academy CRC to receive certification results after completion. If you have already provided ASE with your Volkswagen LMS ID through myASE and your records have not transferred, please contact ASE at (703) 669-6600.
