The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is a sponsor of the 2025 Best Young Tech Award. Nominations are now open for this prestigious honor, which seeks to recognize one exceptional tech who is moving the service repair industry forward.

To qualify, the nominee must be ASE Certified, be between the ages of 21 and 35, have at least two years of professional industry experience, and show evidence of career development, innovation in their role, technical or educational achievements, community service and importance in the shop where they work.

A panel of industry professionals will judge all candidates. The grand prize winner will receive a feature profile story in the October issue of Motor Age magazine, a trip to the 2025 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas, presentation of the Best Young Tech Award at AAPEX, tool and equipment prizes from the contest sponsors, and an award plaque and uniform patch.
